The Tangalooma Wrecks were formed in 1953 when a group of Brisbane locals decided to create an artificial reef and safe anchorage for their trailer vessels.
The Tangalooma wrecks is now home to a myriad of colourful subtropical fish, coral, invertebrates and crustaceans and has been rated No.1 in 10 best snorkelling sites in Queensland as voted by Tourism Queensland.
